SIGNS YOU’RE LOSING FEELINGS FOR YOUR PARTNER

Long-term relationships are never easy, they come with ups and downs and they could be really complicated most times. No relationship is usually the same as it was in the beginning. All the attention, love and romance wears off with time and sometimes that can mean interest fades as well. You can’t lose interest in the relationship if you still love your partner but not losing feelings for your partner does not mean you’re committed to the relationship.
Here are some signs you’re losing feelings for your partner.

YOU DON’T GET EXCITED AROUND THEM
Remember the “butterflies” you felt in your belly when you started dating?? All of a sudden you don’t feel it anymore. You get bored seeing your partner and nothing he/she does changes your mood. It takes two happy to make a relationship work out, your partner is meant to be one of the reasons you’re happy.

 

NO INTIMACY
When you start losing interest in your partner, hugs and kisses don’t mean anything to you anymore. You really don’t have the urge to be intimate with them. The little intimate things that were always there at the beginning of the relationship don’t happen as much anymore. It could be the goodnight kiss, the hand holding while walking, or the hug. If you’re getting bored of the relationship or losing interest in your partner, the absence of these things is a big sign.

 

YOU STOP HANGING OUT
What makes a relationship interesting is hanging out with your partner, just been around him/her, taking a stroll down the street or a dinner date. When you no go longer see it necessary to see your partner that’s a red flag.

 

NO TEXT AND CALLS
Ignoring your partner’s texts or calls just because you don’t want to deal with them, that may be a sign you’ve lost interest. At the beginning of a relationship, a lot of back and forth communication is expected. It shouldn’t surprise either of you when communication slows down. But if you don’t prioritize their texts, phone calls. Maybe you’re just not interested in the relationship anymore. You don’t get that buzz anymore, that smile that comes reading her your partner’s text or seeing a call from them. You feel any of that anymore, you might want to check what’s going on.

 

EVERYTHING GETS YOU ANGRY
When lose feelings for your partner, everything they say or do becomes irritating to you. You start picking unnecessary fights, things that wouldn’t get you angry on a normal day start getting you angry because you’re no longer interested.

 

THERE’S SOMEONE ELSE
There could be someone you find attractive and you’re thinking of leaving your partner. You probably met this really nice and romantic dude who is asking you out on a date and you start making comparisons with your partner or there’s this beautiful girl you have a crush on and you wanna ask her on a date. When this happens, you’ll start losing feelings for your partner

 

YOU’VE STOPPED TRYING
The biggest sign is when you stop trying altogether. That means you don’t invite them out with you, you don’t seem to care about date nights or hanging out, watching a movie together and you don’t care if you answer their texts or return their calls. You may love your partner wholeheartedly, but you just don’t have that desire to keep it interesting anymore. At this point if it works, it works. If it crashes, it crashes.

People have a lot of stress in their lives, from work, to family problems, to health issues, career problems and others. It could just be that one or both of you are going through a rough patch that will pass. Also it’s important to differentiate been bored with your life as an individual and been tired of your relationship because if you don’t fix yourself, it’s going to affect your relationship. Breaking up is a big decision, even in a fairly new relationship. It’s not one that should be taken lightly. You don’t know if you should persevere or just move on but sometimes, it’s something that must be done

Just because you’ve lost feelings for your partner or interest in your relationship, it doesn’t mean you’ve lost your love for them. Sometimes couples fall into a comfortability and romance just doesn’t seem to be a priority anymore. It happens. The reality is, nothing is a lost cause unless you truly think it is. If you really want your relationship to work, it can.
